Cellar in the City
Cellar in the City is the brainchild of Mark Groenewald, a former Tourism events and Marketing Director. He started his wine tasting bar in order to give Cape Town locals and tourists visiting the Watershed a taste of the Cape wine lands. Located near the Watershed’s exhibition entrance, wine lovers visiting the bar can expect to see, smell and taste some of the best wines paired with 4 options of cheese, charcuterie, biltong and of course chocolate. The wine bar represents 32 different wine estates; which means a variety of different flavours to satisfy all palates. Juggling between growing Cellar in the City and raising his son, Mark has found that creating a perfect working structure for his business allows him the opportunity to spend time with his son which is something very important to him. With the festive season fully underway, wine tasting at Cellar in the City is a definite must when visiting the V&A Waterfront this festive, wine is also a great gift so make sure to bag a bottle of their finest wine as a Christmas gift for someone special.
